Reserve de Marande Cabernet Sauvignon

Réserve de Marande Cabernet Sauvignon

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The Réserve de Marande Cabernet Sauvignon is produced in the Pays d’Oc wine region, which enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Specifically, it is sourced from the scenic piedmont of Black Mountain, where the warm Mediterranean weather and refreshing mountain breezes create an ideal balance of richness and elegance.
  • The vines thrive on rugged stone terraces, anchored in rich sandstone and limestone sub-soil that nourishes their growth.

Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (70% Fruity, 30% Oaked)

Elaboration: The grapes are separately harvested, destemmed, and crushed in the cellar. They undergo 15 days of maceration at 26 to 28°C in concrete tanks, during which pump-overs enhance tannin, color, and aroma extraction. Afterward, 30% of the wine is aged for 5 months in medium-toasted French oak, adding complexity to the final product.

Tasting Notes: Deep and intense ruby in color. Multi-layered with ripe blackcurrant, plum sauce, and blackberry. Slightly oaked. The palate is very smooth and generous, with a slight acidity from the tannins. Light coffee notes on the finish.
