Sagemoor “Southwind Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon
WHY WE LOVE IT
- This Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Sagemoor Walla Walla Valley estate vineyard, Southwind.
- The winemaker is Aryn Morell.
- Sagemoor vineyards are certified sustainable through Sustainable WA or LIVE Certified.
Varietal: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot
Elaboration: Aged 22 months in 67% new French oak and 33% neutral French oak.
Tasting Notes: Incredibly dense and complex nose of ripe blackberry, black currant, black plum, desert sage and dried rosemary. Swirling adds sweetness to the dark fruit, adding layers to the perfumed and floral qualities with hints of savory that make it mouthwatering. It’s saturated and gorgeously framed, with concentrated black fruits, dried herbs and powerful structure.
