WHY WE LOVE IT
- The Sanguis ‘Lady, Birds & Boy’ is primarily a Rhône-style white blend that is exceptionally rare, rich, and highly aromatic.
- It is produced by winemaker Matthias Pippig and sourced heavily from the acclaimed Watch Hill and Santa Ynez vineyards, where the vines grow under the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean in Santa Barbara County.
- It combines Marsanne and Roussanne grapes, partially fermented with their skins, with Viognier.
Varietal Composition: Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier
Elaboration: Fermented with native yeasts, this wine spent 5 months on its lees and was aged in 400 L puncheons and Mueller stainless-steel barrels for about a year.
