Sanguis Misfit

The Sanguis Collection ‘Misfit’ Red Blend

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Sanguis “Amour Fou” Rosé is a textured, complex, and unconventional California Rosé, both serious and playful.
  • Crafted by Matthias Pippig in Santa Barbara’s Santa Ynez Valley, this wine blends multiple grape varieties to create a rich, savory profile that pairs exceptionally well with food.
  • The grapes are sourced from several vineyards, including Watch Hill, Two Wolves, John Sebastiano, and Happy Canyon.

Varietal Composition: Grenache, Petite Verdot, Syrah, Roussanne, Pinot Noir, and Viognier

Elaboration: The wine was aged for 18 months in seasoned 300L and 400L French oak barrels, as well as stainless steel. It was racked at bottling, with no filtering or fining, preserving its natural characteristics.

Tasting Notes: Seriously playful, seductively textured, energetic as the morning sun.
