The Sanguis Collection Pinot Noir ‘Loner Conspiracy of Ravens’
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Loner Conspiracy of Ravens is a highly allocated, small-production Pinot Noir crafted in California’s Sta. Rita Hills by winemaker Matthias Pippig under The Sanguis Collection.
- Grapes are sourced from the prestigious Peake Ranch and John Sebastiano Vineyards.
Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir
Elaboration: This wine is made with 50% whole-cluster fruit. It utilizes 100% native yeasts and is aged for 13 months on the lees. Aging occurs in 85% seasoned 400L and 500L oak barrels, with 15% aged in steel puncheons for 12 months.
Tasting Notes: Bright perfume and a playful balance. The wine is like the young child’s first encounter with ripe strawberries from the Forest, ice cream in a cone, and weightlessly flying through space on a swing set. Never the same since. Dopamine in its purest form (until that awkward first kiss).
