Santa Giulia Brunello di Montalcino
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Santa Giulia Brunello di Montalcino is produced in the Montalcino area of Tuscany.
- A full-bodied, red wine made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, a variety that’s a hallmark of the region.
- These Sangiovese grapes thrive on a sun-kissed hillside at elevations of 280-320 meters.
- Brunello di Montalcino is known for its ability to age gracefully, developing complex aromas and flavors over time.
Varietal: 100% Sangiovese
Elaboration: The grapes are manually selected, and the entire process from pruning to harvest is done by hand. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with skin contact for three weeks at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 36 months in 2500 to 3000-liter Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least six months in the bottle. This results in a total aging period of five years from harvest to release. The fermentation and aging environments maintain consistent temperature and humidity naturally.
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red color. Intense, elegant, and fine aroma. Dry, warm, soft, with a balanced body. Very elegant wine with structure, it is suitable for long aging due to the presence of ripe tannins and acidity.
