See Saw Marge

See Saw Wine “Marge”

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Affectionately known as MARGE, this skin contact organic Pinto Noir and Gamay has been incubated as naturally as possible.
  • This sultry seductress is the second adventurer in the See Saw Incubator series.
  • Selected from organically certified Pinot Noir and Gamay blocks from Annangrove Park AP13 and Balmoral.
  • Organically grown and harvested.

Varietal Composition: Pinot Noir and Gamay

Elaboration: Hand picked. Placed into half-tonne slotted bins, taken directly to the winery. The whole bunches were placed into open fermenters and wild fermentation started while the grapes were fully intact. After 15 days the carbonic maceration was finished and the fruit was gently pressed into stainless steel tanks with lees stirred for 4 months to increase the mouthfeel. The wine was passed through a rock filter prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of Dark cherries and plums with a hint of raspberry. The palate is Red fruits with a velvet mouthfeel.
