Siltstone Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
WHY WE LOVE IT
- This Pinot Noir is a blend of fruit from both of Siltstone’s estate vineyards in Oregon’s renowned Willamette Valley AVA: Owl Ranch and Blacktail Vineyards.
- This Pinot Noir is made in the classic Oregon style with its medium body, delicate hints of cherry and a complex spice.
- A perfect everyday Pinot with its ability to pair with many foods.
Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir
Elaboration: Short cold soak took place during fermentation of this Pinot Noir. Selected yeasts were used and small batch aging took place in barrel and tank. Fined and filtered in the winery prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes: Cherry, red fruits, hints of oak and vanilla spice on the nose. This medium bodied Pinot Noir is initially represented by its bright plum fruit and cherry cola notes then gives way to its complex spice. Balanced tannins are apparent in the soft finish.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Siltstone Wines was established in 2000 by the Myers family in Oregon’s renowned wine-growing region, the Willamette Valley. They produce authentic Oregon wine with their estate grown Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé of Pinot Noir. All of the Myers family vineyards are farmed Certified Sustainable. Joel Myers first planted grapes in the 1960s’ and has been farming premium wine grapes professionally since 1980 with his wife Louise. They carry on that tradition today with their family.
Their sons Joey and David continue to work in the Oregon Wine industry after finding their own niches within the dynamic field. Their son John helped develop the family business and is now studying law while his wife Melissa is studying Public Health after working many vintages on the crush pad. David’s wife, Heather, manages the tasting room and marketing for Siltstone. The Myers produce about 1,500 cases of wine under the Siltstone label from Guadalupe Vineyard, Blacktail Vineyard, and Owl Ranch Vineyard. A limited quantity of their premium Pinot Noir label, J. Myers & Sons, is blended from select barrels after exceptional vintages.
