Sinegal Estate Details Cabernet Sauvignon

Sinegal Estate “Details” Cabernet Sauvignon

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Sinegal Estate is rich in heritage dating back to 1879. The Sinegal family purchased the Estate in 2013 and have updated this world-class property to be one with current “field-first” micro farming and fermenting practices.
  • “Details” Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from the finest appellations in Sonoma County.
  • If you look closely, you will notice the “Devil is in the Details”. The skull label is inspired by the ever-mysterious goat eyes, which are capable of seeing and sensing two things at once. It also represents the thinking that “Every Detail Matters,” and that’s how they approach their winemaking.
  • The passion to create an exceptional California wine at an affordable price point was factored into every step of the process. The magic truly comes together when the best lots are tested and selected for the final blend.

Varietal Composition: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, 4% Petite Syrah, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec

Elaboration: Aged 15 months in 55% new French Oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, there are elegant aromas of violets and sweet toffee followed by fresh raspberries, spiced tobacco, and potpourri. Flavors of black cherry and cassis are met with a vibrant minerality and a lingering, bright acidity.

The property has changed owners a number of times over the decades, passing through separate families. Its current owner, David Sinegal, purchased the property in 2013.
