Sinegal Estate Sauvignon Blanc
WHY WE LOVE IT
Varietal Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Elaboration: Whole cluster pressed. Native yeast barrel fermentation. Bâtonnage. Fermented in 35% new French Oak barrels. Large format barrels: cigar and puncheon. Aged 11 months sur lie.
Tasting Notes: The nose boasts aromas of white peach, spiced apple, and mandarin with delicate hints of cherry blossom and wet stone. The palate showcases fresh flavors of Asian pear, apricot, and lemon zest, followed by subtle notes of ripe nectarine and lychee. There is a sweet core to the wine, accompanied by a vibrant acidity that lingers on the palate, creating a long and silky finish.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Sinegal Estate has a rich heritage dating back to 1879, with the first vines planted in 1881. It is a family-owned Saint Helena based historic 30-acre property. The property has changed owners a number of times over the decades, passing through separate families. Its current owner, David Sinegal, purchased the property in 2013. Since then, the Sinegal’s have focused on updating the property with current farming practices, by integrating innovation and technology into their winemaking.
