Six Peaks Marsanne
WHY WE LOVE IT
- This Marsanne was requested by their wine club. It reflects their commitment to wine enthusiasts and pursuit of innovative practices.
- It comes from a mother block of vines at Inland Desert Nursery.
- The specific grape plants selected are not for production. The goal is to shape the future of Marsanne in the Northwest.
- Drink now and for the next 5 years.
Varietal Composition: 100% Marsanne
Elaboration: Fermented and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 7 months. Consistent lees stirring during fermentation.
Tasting Notes: A soft straw hue frames this succulent, full-bodied Marsanne, with lifted aromas of ripe melon and honeysuckle. Fermented in neutral French oak, the wine unfolds across a rich, layered mid-palate of stone fruit and subtle florals. Rounded texture is shaped by fresh acidity and a touch of stony freshness, carrying through a long, clean, and composed finish.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
John and Lynn Albin planted their first vineyard in 1981, the Laurel Vineyard located in Laurelwood AVA, OR. This estate vineyard sits atop Bald Peak, which offers a stunning panoramic view of five cascade mountains. Add up all of these peaks and you have 6 Peaks Winery. The Albin’s bring with them many decades of experience in viticulture and winemaking in the Pacific Northwest. Their second label, Lorelle, became an immediate hit when we first brought it in and we jumped at the chance to carry their original winery, Six Peaks Winery.
