St. Innocent Sparkling Crémant Rosé

St. Innocent Sparkling Crémant Rosé

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • St. Innocent Sparkling Crémant Rosé is grown on Freedom Hill Vineyard. Freedom Hill is located in the foothills of the coast range 10 miles southwest of Salem, Oregon.
  • The vines were planted in 1999 and 2008 on well-drained silty clay loam.

Varietal Composition: Pinot Blanc/Pinot Noir

Elaboration: The vineyard has a southeast exposure at an elevation of 425’ and benefits from heat rising off the valley floor. Hills to the east protect the vines from strong coastal winds.

Tasting Notes:  “A 90-10 blend of Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, this gentle sparkler has a Wimbledon nose of strawberries and cream. Additional aromas include fig, chalkboard dust and a mildly bitter herbal note. Strawberries return on the creamy palate, joined by lime zest and a touch of rhubarb pie.” -Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast.
