Susana Balbo 'Signature' White Blend

Susana Balbo ‘Signature’ White Blend

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Susana Balbo Signature White Blend comes from the region of Paraje Altamira, Valle de Uco, Mendoza.
  • This White Blend is a combination of Torrontés, Semillón and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

Varietal: 40% Torrontés, 30% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillón

Elaboration: The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillón grapes are destemmed, macerated with dry ice for 4 hours, pressed, and fined for 24 hours. The Semillón is transferred to stainless steel tanks, while the Sauvignon Blanc ferments in barrels, both using natural yeasts. The Torrontés grapes are destemmed and pressed without maceration, using selected yeasts for barrel fermentation. After fermentation, it is aged on lees for two months before blending and a further four months in oak barrels. All wines are aged for 5 months in French oak barrels, with 60% being new and 40% second-use.

Tasting Notes: This wine offers a wide range of aromas, featuring floral and citrus notes that blend with hints of fresh herbs and white fruits. On the palate, it reveals fruity flavors combined with the creaminess from its barrel aging. It has a persistent mineral finish with balanced acidity. This is a white wine with great aging potential.
