Boas Uvas Red Reserva
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The “Boas Uvas Red Reserva” is a Portuguese red blend from the Douro region known for its complexity.
- This smooth wine gains depth through oak aging and features a blend of local Portuguese grape varieties, with a focus on quality found in Reserva wines.
- The “Reserva” designation indicates that this wine is richer and more complex than a standard bottling, crafted from a combination of both old and younger vines.
Varietals: Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro
Elaboration: Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. Approximately 20% of the wine is aged in 500-liter French oak barrels for about 12 months.
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby color, with prominent fresh and fruity aromas of red fruits such as cherry and plum, complemented by a subtle touch of spice. A well-balanced wine with smooth tannins, revealing lively acidity and a persistent, slightly fruity finish.
