Three of Cups “Le Chariot” Red Blend
WHY WE LOVE IT
- This wine is a great value of pedigree vineyards that can be enjoyed now, really likes to be paired with food, and will age beautifully over time.
- It comes from Heart of Hill, Dry Lake, Cameron Ridge and Les Collines vineyards.
- If drinking now, give it 30mins to open up.
Varietal Composition: 29% Petite Sirah, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Malbec, 14% Syrah
Elaboration: Tradition vinification. Fermentation in French oak.
Tasting Notes: A fantastic nose of dark cherry, loganberry, blueberry, black currant…that bramble berry pie in the oven! Up front flavors of dark chocolate, a dark berry explosion from sweet to tart, with hints of cinnamon, cedar, leather,…so much going on with this wine. Strong berry flavors that slide into soft lingering tannins that coat the top of your mouth with a snap of pepper just before it finishes.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Founded in 2013 by two friends (Lisa & Mike), Three of Cups is a winery based in the Artisan Hill area of Woodinville, Washington, producing limited quantities of premium wines. Lisa and Mike share a passion for wine and food and wanted to expand that beyond their friends and family.
Their fruit is sourced from vineyards throughout Washington and Oregon; predominately in the Red Mountain, Columbia, and Walla Walla Valley AVA’s. The goal is to produce wines that express the very best of the regions the grapes are source from, the conditions of the vintage year, and pair well with food or on their own by the glass. All wines are produced in small batches with careful attention to varietal characteristics using minimal intervention.
The name, Three of Cups, comes from a tarot card, which symbolizes conviviality, agreement, harmony, abundance, and friendship – all things that happen naturally with wine and carries the meaning of joyful social contact. All of which are very important to Lisa and Mike.
