Three of Cups “Le Jugement” GSM
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The fruit for this blend hails from the Lonesome Spring Ranch Vineyard, Riviere Galets Vineyard (Grenache & Mourvèdre), and Les Collines Vineyard (Syrah), all of which are located in the Columbia Valley AVA.
- “GSM is the backbone of Three of Cups red blends and what we set out to accomplish from the very beginning to validate our skills and display what WA State has to offer for these beautiful Rhone varietals.”
Varietal Composition: 58% Mourvèdre, 28% Grenache, 14% Syrah
Elaboration: Tradition vinification. Fermentation in stainless steel, temperature controlled vats. Aged in French oak, 35% of which are new.
Tasting Notes: A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre that is tightly focused and trim with med-bodied currant and blackberry. A bit of cherry, minerality, and white pepper at the finish with a nip of tannins and spice at the end.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Founded in 2013 by two friends (Lisa & Mike), Three of Cups is a winery based in the Artisan Hill area of Woodinville, Washington, producing limited quantities of premium wines. Lisa and Mike share a passion for wine and food and wanted to expand that beyond their friends and family.
Their fruit is sourced from vineyards throughout Washington and Oregon; predominately in the Red Mountain, Columbia, and Walla Walla Valley AVA’s. The goal is to produce wines that express the very best of the regions the grapes are source from, the conditions of the vintage year, and pair well with food or on their own by the glass. All wines are produced in small batches with careful attention to varietal characteristics using minimal intervention.
The name, Three of Cups, comes from a tarot card, which symbolizes conviviality, agreement, harmony, abundance, and friendship – all things that happen naturally with wine and carries the meaning of joyful social contact. All of which are very important to Lisa and Mike.
