Tua Tua Sauvignon Blanc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The Tua Tua Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant, expressive Marlborough white wine, created by winemaker Anthony “Ant” Moore.
- Inspired by the Tua Tua seashell, it is sourced from top vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys.
- The unique terroir, with its loose silt loams and cool nights, allows the grapes to develop ripe tropical flavors while maintaining high levels of natural acidity.
Varietal Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Elaboration: Fermentation occurs entirely in stainless steel at temperatures between 12 and 15°C to achieve aromatic precision. The wine is racked off the fermenting lees to maintain freshness. No fining agents are used; it is stabilized and crossflow filtered prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes: Expressively aromatic with vivid passionfruit, juicy lime, and fresh grapefruit on the palate. The signature Marlborough green edge — gooseberry and herbal accents — lifts the mid-palate, while zesty acidity carries through to a clean, refreshing finish.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Tua Tua is a premium label of coastal-inspired wines from New Zealand’s Marlborough region, crafted by winemaker Ant Moore. The wines, sourced from the Southern Valleys, Wairau Valley, and Awatere Valley, are known for their bright, crisp profiles with notes of tropical fruit and minerals. The name Tua Tua is inspired by a legendary New Zealand seashell symbolizing balance and good fortune. Ant Moore, who arrived in Marlborough in 2002, emphasizes low yields and minimal intervention across 160 hectares of vineyards for maximum purity.
