Varietal Composition: 100% Montepulciano

Elaboration: Careful and selected manual harvest and the vinification phases, it rests in steel barrels for 12 months. Maceration of the skins instainless steel tanks at controlled temperature 12 months after harvest.

Tasting Notes: It is characterized by a lively ruby ​​red color and purple hues. It expresses itself with an intense aroma of red fruits and on the palate it is full-bodied and persistent.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

The Valle Martello winery was founded by Giuseppe Masci in 1956. It is located in the village of Villamagna in the Abruzzo region on the southeastern coast of Italy. It lies just about seven miles from the Adriatic Sea and is flanked on the southwest by the Majella Mountains. The name “Villamagna” means “great mansion.” It refers to the 16th-century Archbishop Palace that overlooks the valley.

The winery is situated in the relatively tiny Villamagna DOC appellation. Since 2000, five cousins, representing a third generation, have been managing the estate. They are committed to practicing the ancient wine-making traditions of Giuseppe enhanced by the technology of today
