Viña Las Perdices
Viña Las Perdices, which translates to “The Partridges” in Spanish, is a family-owned boutique winery located in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. Established in 2004 by the Muñoz family, their story is deeply intertwined with the European immigrants who have influenced Argentine culture.
Don Juan Muñoz Lopes left Spain with a dream of cultivating his own vineyards. He began as a sharecropper before acquiring his own estate in Alto Agrelo, an area where the terroir’s potential was largely unknown. Accompanied by partridges, he chose to honor these birds by naming the winery after them.
Viña Las Perdices is recognized for its high-altitude vineyards in the Andean foothills at 1,030 meters above sea level, which provide exceptional terroir for viticulture. The winery produces a diverse array of high-quality varietal wines. By combining tradition with innovation, Viña Las Perdices employs sustainable practices to showcase the unique terroir of Mendoza, resulting in wines that capture the region’s character and charm.
