Viñas del Cénit Field Blend Contiesas

Viñas del Cénit Field Blend ‘Contiesas’

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Field Blend Contiesas comes from century-old organic vineyards.
  • The average vine age is 80 to 100 years.
  • These vineyards sit in clay soils at an altitude of 800 meters.
  • The region has a continental climate with very cold winters and hot summers, an ideal environment for producing wine with depth and complexity.

Varietals: Doria Blanca, Verdejo, Palomino, Albillo

Elaboration: The grapes are hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed in a pneumatic press. The wine ferments spontaneously in vats, then rests on its lees for 3 months before aging in barrels for another 3 months.

Tasting Notes: The dominant aromas include white fruit, citrus, and minerality. Both the nose and palate reveal the rich varietal diversity found in the old vineyards of Tierra del Vino, showcasing a surprising and playful complexity.

Located on the left bank of the Duero River, Viñas del Cénit benefits from high-altitude vineyards and sandy, clay soils. The winemakers practice minimal intervention, resulting in bold, balanced wines that reflect the region’s heritage.
