Winkler-Hermaden Pinot Blanc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The Pinot Blanc from Winkler-Hermaden winery is cultivated in the beautiful vineyards of Kapfenstein and Klöcher Koge.
- This wine is made from organically farmed grapes and is Certified Organic, utilizing sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices.
- Known locally as Weißburgunder, it originates from volcanic soils.
- The wine presents a dry and smooth profile, exhibiting vibrant notes of citrus and yellow apple, along with a distinct mineral and salty finish.
Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Blanc
Elaboration: Pinot Blanc is cultivated using organic and sustainable methods. It undergoes cool stainless-steel fermentation to preserve its fresh varietal fruit character, followed by brief aging on fine lees to enhance texture. It undergoes expansion drying and spends 5 months on the yeast in a steel tank, adhering to organic regenerative practices.
Tasting Notes: The classic Pinot Blanc has a lively, fresh acidity and impresses with its soft, salty body and delicate nuttiness. Distinctive apple, some citrus fruit, finely salty on the palate, paired with apple and almond notes and a spicy finish.
