Tapi Sauvignon Blanc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Top-tier Wairau River Valley Marlborough Sauvignon, with layers of personality.
Varietal Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Elaboration: The vines are 10-years-old and the soil is greywacke and the vineyard is cane pruned. Grapes are machine picked, pressed off skins, cold settled and fermented cool for 15 days. Specially selected yeasts are added to the juice to start fermentation which takes approximately 2 weeks at temperatures between 12°C – 15°C.
Tasting Notes: This pure and bright Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has a vibrant fruit-driven nose bursting with citrus fruits and tropical characters. On the palate luscious layers of passionfruit and guava. Finely balanced with zesty acidity, underlying minerality and just a hint of residual sweetness this crisp and fresh wine leads to a perfectly long, dry, and persistent finish.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Tapi is a label of Altschwager Kenneally, a New Zealand and Australian wine company owned by two couples who are experienced winemakers and the best of friends. They say what brought them together in business was “a shared goal to raise the standard of winemaking.”
In their own words, their story includes “seven years, a cross-Tasman relocation, four kids, two dogs, a couple of chooks (chickens), and plenty of chaos.” They share a commitment to sustainable viticulture and small-batch production. Respect and honor for the land is at the heart of their business.
