Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir

Elaboration: Direct pressing. 3 weeks low temperature fermentation in stainless-steel vats. Light filtration.

Tasting Notes: The color is a pretty pale salmon pink shade. From the first nose the style is given: fruity, liveliness, freshness and intensity, These characters are also encountered on the palate with the crunchiness of the fruit reminiscent of strawberries and apricots, some hints of citrus notes complete this round and tasty palate.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

The Comte De la Chevaliere cooperative was created in 1963. Today nearly 90 winegrowers, representing 250 ha of vines, are partners of the company. These vines are growing in all the villages and in the most beautiful terroir of the area: stony slopes of the hills which overlook the Loire River (longest river of France).

Almost all of the Sancerre appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé and is well regarded for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. This is because it because it consists of a series of small valleys, each with their own soils and microclimate and terroir.

The Comte de la Chevaliere vineyard is a real unique palette, rich in potential and diversity where the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grape varieties find the best elements to grow.
