PRODUCER BACKGROUND

Cória Estates is a Mexican-American family-owned vineyard, winery, and tasting room in South Salem, Oregon. They have been growing grapes for more than 20 years in the heart of the Willamette Valley.

The story of Luis & Janice begins with separate family heritages and cultural backgrounds. Luis Coria was born and raised in Mexico spending his early years helping his father on the family farm. At age 14 he ventured further seeking opportunities and eventually found himself in Oregon. Janice grew up in a small town in northern Idaho. In the spring of 1979, while visiting family in Oregon, Janice met Luis and married him two years later. By 1985, they had welcomed two baby girls to the family! By now, Luis felt a need to get back to his farming roots. Today, the vineyard is a mature 104 acres planted in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Riesling.
