Domaine Catherine et Didier Tripoz Pouilly Fuissé Les Trois Vignes
WHY WE LOVE IT
Varietal Composition: 100% Chardonnay
Elaboration: The soil is clay-limestone. The average age of the vines is 48 years. The grapes are harvested manually. Reasoned control cultivation is used. This vintage, typical of a great white Burgundy, is produced after long fermentations, partly in wood (30%). 11 months aging in barrels and vats.
Tasting Notes: This Pouilly Fuissé with mineral “limestone” aromas, reflecting the soil in which the vine grows, can be kept for 6 to 8 years allowing it to accentuate its roundness and persistence.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Established in 1989, Domaine Catherine et Didier Tripoz is located in Charnay-lès-Mâcon at the southern end of the Mâcon appellation in eastern France. The village sits on the outskirts of the town of Mâcon, just about 100 miles from Geneva, Switzerland.
The vineyard covers 13 hectares and is planted mainly with Chardonnay with smaller plots of Pinot Noir and Gamay. The Tripoz family is committed to producing grapes of the highest quality. They are respectful of the terroir and the environment. After a three-year process, begun in 2018, the estate was granted a certificate of organic agriculture.
