Domaine de Pajot
Most wine growers in the region of Gascogne sell their grapes to the local coop. This is not the case with Domaine de Pajot – The father and son team of Damien and Clement Barreau are known in Gascogne as one of the regions quality leaders, and their 45 hectares of vineyard land are planted to seven grape varieties: Gros-Manseng, Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir from their new vineyard. Parts of the Ugni Blanc and Colombard harvest are being distilled into Armagnac, some parcels of the Gros-Manseng go into the Domaines’ sweet wine, but their flagship dry white wine is blended from the four varieties. Farming is organic.
