PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Château Fourcas-Borie is one of the oldest winemaking families in the Central Médoc. The Fourcas-Borie vineyard dominates the tiny Listrac hamlets of Fourcas and Tris. Here, more than half the soil is composed of gravel on a clay base and the rest is clay-siliceous soils on a base of limestone. The soils add a mineral note to the rich fruit tastes and aromas, giving Fourcas-Borie a very special range of flavours.
Fourcas-Borie domain is spread over approximately 45 hectares. 35 hectares are planted with vines of 25-year-old in average.
