WHY WE LOVE IT

• The grapes for this wine are grown in the high elevation Sierra Foothills of Calaveras County, California by families that we have known for many years.
• The resulting wine is dark, rich, and full bodied with hints of anise and clove.

Varietal Composition: 40% Syrah, 40% Carignan, 20% Grenache

Elaboration: A different kind of Rhone blend that takes advantage of some great vineyards in Calaveras County. Syrah provides the backbone to the wine with Grenache adding generosity and Carignan bringing in the beautiful berry fruit. We feel this is the new direction of wines in the Sierra Foothills.

Tasting Notes: A classic red Rhone blend that shows off beautiful dark blue fruit. This is a nice blend and has vanilla flavors from French oak maturation.
