Laurent Mazeau

Château de Costis, part of Laurent Mazeau’s vineyard group, is a well-regarded, family-owned wine producer located in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, near Targon, France. The winery is known for producing affordable, high-quality, and sustainably farmed red and white wines.

The original estate was purchased in 1928 by Charles Mallet, who is Laurent Mazeau’s great-grandfather. In 1949, his granddaughter, Michelle, married René Mazeau and inherited the estate in 1950. René managed the vineyard until his retirement in 1985, during which time it thrived and became a model of technical and commercial success. After his retirement, the estate was passed down to their four sons, who established Vignobles Laurent Mazeau-Bergström.

Today, the estate spans over 100 hectares, combining tradition and innovation to produce high-quality wines.
