Precious Syrah

WHY WE LOVE IT

• Precious is grown in Murcia, Spain. Murcia is one of the smallest regions in Spain. The Murcian landscape consists primarily of low-lying mountains and dry coastal plains and is an extremely arid area.
• The winemaker is Norrel Robertson, a Master Winemaker who has been making wine in Spain for over 15 years.
• The wine has a Bourbon influence but still maintain it’s integrity as a fine wine.
• That label art was designed by well-known artist James Jean.

Varietal Composition: 100% Syrah

Elaboration: The soils are glacial and co-alluvial. The vines are 25 years old. The wine is aged in old Van Winkle Bourbon barrels.

Tasting Notes: Delicacy. Power. Gentle power. Precision but richness that’d anticipate broader, soupier palate, but precise and structured with a beacon of acid that keeps the wine focused. Violets, vanilla, fresh organic cream, blueberries, toasty wood, super-soft, elegant, silky tannins. Very long finish and persistence of aroma and flavor. A wine with potential for aging and longevity but approachable and expressive now.
