Birra Friuli Lager

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Low fermentation lager from Italy.
  • Water is a key element in the production of craft beer and the Friulian Dolomites provide a natural mineral water source for this lager.
  • Friuli Venezia Giulia is situated in Italy’s northeast and borders Slovenia and Austria. This region overlooks the Adriatic Sea and is surrounded by high mountains, enclosing many different landscapes.

Varietal Composition: Craft Lager beer – water, barley malt (pilsner e monaco), rice flakes, hops, yeast

Elaboration: Low fermentation lager. Moderate alcohol content (4.7%). Production takes place in Cividale del Friuli, a town that is a UNESCO World Heritage village with ancient Lombard origins. Water is a key element in the production, our luck in having the Friulian Dolomites right in our backyard allows us to work with the HIGHEST QUALITY raw material right at the source… which nowadays is what makes the DIFFERENCE.

Tasting Notes: A specially brewed low fermentation craft blonde lager with incredible DRINKABILITY and FRESHNESS that comes from the Friulian Dolomites, a natural mineral water source.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

Birra Friuli is the culmination of high-quality American hops combined with the pristine water of Northern Italy’s spectacular Friulian Dolomites. The idea for Birra Friuli came to cofounders Alex Corazza, Emily Rose Corazza, and Patrick Fantini Corazza from enjoying American craft beer in California.

The partners set out to combine the elements of the innovative American craft beer market with the values of their region’s territory. The result is an artisanal, low-fermentation craft lager with incredible drinkability and freshness.
