Domaine Vincent Wengier Aligote

Domaine Vincent Wengier Bourgogne Aligoté

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The grape variety is Aligote. It is the second white grape of Burgundy.
  • The Bourgogne Aligoté vines are located on clay-limestone soil. The basement comes from the Portlandian, classic basement of Burgundy.
  • The Burgundy plots are located in the commune of Préhy, the only commune in the Chablis region to have a Burgundy appellation.
  • The average age of the vines is 15 years.
  • The aging potential is 2-3 years. Serve at a temperature of 12 to 14°C.

Varietal Composition: 100% Aligoté

Processing: Weeding is only mechanical. After rigorous settling, the alcoholic fermentation took place in excellent conditions for about a month. The malolactic fermentation is done naturally following. Aging in stainless steel vats lasted a short year. The wine remained on its fine lines to bring it roundness and aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes:  Bright, light gold color. Nose of lime and wildflowers. A frank approach to the grape variety Aligote. Freshness, tone, clean and crunchy fruit, a real delicacy. Salivating iodized finish. An alluring youth.
