WHY WE LOVE IT
- Domaine Vincent Wengier uses environmentally friendly practices. The Vincent Wengier vineyard has been certified HVE (high environmental value). 2020 is the first year of conversion of the vineyard to organic farming.
- The regional Burgundy appellation plots are located on the edge of the Chablis vineyard, where the soil is clay-limestone. The subsoil varies between Portlandian and Kimmeridgian vineyards.
- The average age of the vines is 10 years. The aging potential is 5 years.
- The ideal drinking temperature is about 12 to 14°C.
Varietal Composition: 100% Chardonnay
Elaboration: After a rigorous settling, the alcoholic fermentation took place in good conditions for a good month. Then, the malolactic fermentation is triggered naturally. The aging of this wine was a short year on fine lees in stainless steel vats. This allowed the wine to have all its roundness and aromatic complexity.
Tasting Notes: Bright, light gold color. Nose dominated by almond, white fruits, lemon, lime blossom honey. mouth to fruity ample, stimulating, adorned with a generous body, a fat and tender finish, a freshness salivating. Rich, full white Burgundy.
